Full Time Drafter Job Description

​Job Summary:

BCD is looking for a Full-Time Experienced Drafter to join our team of fabricators, drafters, and designers, in our Austin, TX shop. Our typical work hours are 7:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Thursday. As a drafter, you will be drawing a wide range of projects including fine furniture, architectural steel, and large structural projects. Drafters routinely go on building sites to measure for projects and understand project scope, but usually work from our office in Austin, TX.

Qualifications:

The applicant should be skilled in Solidworks, especially with Solidworks weldments and sheet metal.

Responsibilities:

Read building plans, understand project scope, and execute necessary drawings.

Work efficiently and collaboratively with our team.

Manage time and stay organized. 

Communicate with clients, builders, architects, and coworkers using email and project management software.

Benefits:

Pay is dependent on skill level and experience. All employees receive 8 paid holidays. After 90 days, the applicant qualifies for health, dental, and vision insurance.
